For both summers of 2001 and 2002, Jim traveled to Round Top, TX to be part of Shakespeare at Winedale, a summer Shakespeare repertory program administered by The University of Texas, Austin, under the direction of James Loehlin. As a student in the program, Jim was the recipient of the Rhodes Centennial Scholarship, the Donald Britton Memorial Scholarship, and the Nick Bottom Award. He had the amazing opportunity to travel with the program to the UK where he performed at the Swan Theater in Stratford-upon-Avon, the Orange Tree Theater in Richmond, and the Royal Academy of Drama in London.
